Consider an armoire for your office
If you’re
looking for something a bit out of the ordinary, take a look at an
armoire for your home office. Armoires add a touch of elegance
and class to an otherwise utilitarian environment. An armoire can
also help make your
office space look less austere and more lived in.
Uses for an armoire
You can use a computer
armoire for several purposes in any work area. Because the front
closes, it can be used for storage or as a place to keep papers that
you don’t want the public to see (taxes, invoices, etc.).
Some folks use
armoires to house their computers and monitors. This comes in
especially handy if your office at home doubles as a guest room when
company is staying over. You have workspace during the day and a nice
piece of decorative furniture that night.
One potential
downside to buying an armoire: they can be costly. If you have a
functional office that you feel comfortable in, you might take a
pass on making this change. But it’s good to know it’s a possibility
should things change later on.
Tip: If
you’re considering any armoire that doesn’t have a locking set of doors, be absolutely
sure that you don’t need this security feature. While you can
add one later, it’s sometimes difficult if you’re not the “Bob Villa”
type. Your office valuables should just go in a fireproof
safe if not.
