Computer Tables - More Space
and Productivity
Computer tables
are completely underrated when it comes to office furniture. It seems
that there was a law written at some point that just because you have
a computer, you have to have a desk with a hutch and a keyboard
drawer. I, for one, am starting the movement for more computer
tables!
Computer tables
are not only more conducive to most offices; they will psychologically
make you more productive. Now before writing this off as workplace
psychobabble, consider your own workspace for a minute. Do you feel
trapped? Do you feel like your desk is a dark place where you are
doomed to isolation? Do you dread the time you spend at your desk?
Most people do, and I think it’s because a desk, especially armoires
and desks with hutches, are too much like the Dilbert cubicle.
Computer tables
allow you more surface space. You somehow feel freer with the open
space of a table, and your workplace is more diverse. You can move
your monitor to the end of the table if you need extra space or just
want a change of scenery. You can put a laptop next to your computer
to transfer data. If you only use a laptop, you can have a lot more
room for other projects.
Computer tables
make you feel less cramped and trapped. You won’t hate where you work
anymore, and you will find yourself happier to be at your non-desk.
The best reason of all to trade in your desk for a computer table is
that you will never again hit your knee on that @*%^#*@ keyboard tray!
