Nifty gadgets
to promote ergonomics in your office!
You’ve probably
heard of ergonomics. If all that comes to mind is that weird keyboard
you don’t think you would ever use with your computer, keep reading.
Ergonomics is simply the science of equipment designed to let you be
able to work longer without pain or fatigue. It’s definitely
something you can apply while you work.
Our favorite ergonomic
application: If you’ve ever had a sore elbow or wrist
from using a mouse, there is a tool you need in your office. It’s a
padded gel arm rest that attaches directly to your computer
desk. You rest your mouse arm and will have no pain or discomfort.
Ergonomically, it is one of the simplest, least expensive solutions to a common
office worker complaint.

Different
ergonomic-inspired mouses: If you’ve thought of trying a
wrist-friendly mouse while you type, there are many options
available. The hardest one for us to get used to was the one where
you insert your fingers and operate the mouse with thumb and forefinger.
Not very user-friendly! A good ergonomic choice is either a cordless or
laser mouse, both of which are
great for easier function, whether you use a PC or laptop computer!
The most important
ergonomic product: your chair. If you work leaning forward, you
are going to have neck and back pain unless you invest in a chair for
your office desk that will adjust to give you necessary support. If
you work leaning back, you should get a chair that adjusts to fit
under your desk so you don’t strain your arms.
